my knee MRI resutls

I got my MRI results, which look pretty good, since my fracture seems to be healed :slight_smile: Although the doctor there had no idea how I fractured my kneecap vertically like that in the first place, claiming that stress fractures occur horizontally. Doctors keep asking me if I banged it somewhere, and find it hard to believe it happened during just sprinting.
Anyway.

Thereā€™s still a ā€œmedium amount of liquid in the jointā€. Is this something that vanishes on its own? Thereā€™s still irritation, but itā€™s ā€œstiffnessā€ irritation, not the ā€œfracture-kindā€.

Try wrapping the knee loosely at night after rubbing on some heat rub combined with traumeel cream. that should help loosen up the area and possibly remove some of the remaining fluid. let us know if that helps.

Generally Proteolitic Enzyme are useful for edema/liquid.
Try a double approach, topical cream ala Charlie and oral ala Jamirok :smiley:

(Knee seems to bother me very little only after track work and prolonged walking, but itā€™s pretty minor right now, heaps better than two weeks ago. Iā€™m happy about it).

I donā€™t see why not but you need to know whatā€™s going on- is there really healing going on?- thatā€™s what the product is for- not just inflammation. It rolls over the amino acids in the injury site to promote healing. the main enzymes are papain and bromelaine from papaya and pineapple.

of these enzymes, you can buy in a good local drug store, or health food shop. Normally pretty cheap and work a treat. Even try a Naturapath, they should have them.

I notice when I am doing a wall sit isometric, that the quad spot i am pointing out in the picture is indented compared to my other leg. Is that muscle I need to strengthen / balance out? I am asking because it looks white in the picture, and I am not sure what part of the leg that is.

My question was if it is still healing or has already healed- which I would expect.

In my case right now, I just have no clue any more ā€¦
The constant irritation is always at the same spot (middle of kneecap, towards the inside), but if I try striding, the pain goes to the outside as well, which is where the fracture occured, and until the inflammation calms down (it takes a few days) it even hurts to press on that spot.
Regardless, the latest MRI (August) showed an ā€œold fractureā€, and not a current one.
