Anybody see Kill Bill yet? Reviews? Just please, please, please don’t give anything away.
I saw Kill Bill last night. All I can say, it is one INTENSE and CRAZY movie!!
Oh man you are absolutely correct. It was amazing.
it’s my #2 movie of the year
#1 has to go to freddy vs jason
It’s basically a tie between them but freddy vs jason is really big on sentimental value for me
Hi Gang,
If you really want to see a movie thats over the top, you have to check out Battle Royale directed by Kinji Fukasaku starring Takeshi Kitano, Tatsuya Fujiwara, Aki Maeda, Taro Yamamoto, Masanobu Ando, Kou Shibasaki, Chiaki Kuriyama, Sousuke Takaoka, Eri Ishikawa, and Yûko Miyamura.
Imagine, you’re 15, life and school couldn’t be more fantastic. Then your government passes a neat law because they were fearful of the youth, which means one class of your age group must engage in the Battle Royale, a twisted contest on a deserted island which involves blowing away all your classmates, last man standing style. Check this film out.

Hey - just watched Bowling for Colmbine.
Great Docu-drama. Brilliant!!!
And Canada looks like a great place to live -
Doors open - no crime - great health care - no guns, no shootings - nice people, Gee sounds just like Ireland!!!
Hey Charlie / Rupert - can I stay with you? - Ah don’t worry I’ll just walk right in - your door will probably be open like everyone in Canada’s !!!
Five stars *****
Heard great reviews about Battle Royale too Rupert, haven’t seen it yet though.
Postscript -
Also watched Daredevil - I feel two hours a lesser human after that one.
City of God:
South American Goodfellas. Excellant.
I have to agree with you rupert, one seriously messed up film! Though I did also like the japanese version of the ring. Christ that messes with your head!!!
I’ve been meaning to see this one but I can’t find it.
Rupert I watched some clips of battle royale, thank you for telling me about it. WOW is all I can say and I must say I am a Takeshi fan.
Simply the most awesome movie ever made - battle of Pelanor Fields is quite simply the best set piece in existance -
If this don’t win the Best Picture oscar something stinks in hollywood - and it ain’t the governor .
Drop everything your doing and go see The Last Samurai…Oh Boy!!
agreed!
after that, go see lord of the rings: return of the king!
two great movies, out now!
The Last Samuri -
Haven’t seen it yet, but -
Read a review that said it was kinda a cross between, Braveheart, Dances with Wolves and Gladiator - how does that sound?
A mate went to see Kill Bill Vol. 1 - he said it was the worst 2 hours of his life he has ever wasted - anyone seen it?
Just watched Life of David Gale the other night for the first time - great flick.
Dark Blue - Not bad, but don’t break a leg in a rush to get it.
Yup!! Gonna catch LOTR 3 hopefully tonight. I loved the 1st two, and I heard that the 3rd one is just incredible. Have you seen it?
Your description of The Last Samurai sounds about right, except those movies you mentioned fight scenes don’t do this movie any justice, you have to see it.
As for Kill Bill, I saw it, I actually liked it. I must admit that there are some fake blood squirting scenes that made me kinda look at it less respectful, at least when you compare it to movies like The Last Samurai. Overall, I liked it and would watch Vol. 2
It was a truly awesome movie even if you haven’t seen most of the movies it’s based on like me. The squirting blood was not supposed to be realistic.
