More muscle vs. less muscle

Seriously I’ve got no final conclusion on this, does more muscle being more weight to carry around = slower velocity? John smith says sprinters need muscle, but we see a bodybuilder run, Im sure he’ll be nowhere near world 100m standards regardless of amount of training done.

My overall understanding is that a good amount of muscle is beneficial, anymore is detrimental.

Train for your event and make progress, your body will take the appropriate dimensions.
