When going from flats to using spikes for the first time could there occur a loss of posture ?
I have switched from flats to a pair of Nike Superflys and my rythm and frequency are completly off.
I also supinate quite a bit.
How many times have you gone from flats to spikes or is this your first time. There is quite a different feel to spikes. Usually there is no room in spikes for insoles if your feet require them. You should video tape yourself with flats and then with spikes and see how much different you look. Perhaps it is just a feeling. Perhaps it is “more than a feeling.”:afro:
This is my first time ever -both using spikes and running on a track ,having trained in the middle of the road since November.
I dont use inlays and have infact just ordered a pair of Nike JSCs to see if they feel better on my feet.
Another question : Would a badly setup standing start affect the last 30 meters of a 60 meter? I run upwards to .6 of a second slower on the track than on asphalt! But the 30 meter stays the same.
