How useful do you think plyos/jumping exercises are useful for sprinters…i am talking about bounding static jumps maybe even shocktraining(depth jumps/drops)…linford christie and alan wells(no weight training) are two sprinters i know of that used a high volume of jumps in their training and they were succesful…but then the GCT is much longer in Plyos than sprinting…

The effects of plyometric training has not been measured directly in humans, but there is evidence that it reduces tendon stiffness and hysteresis, this would be congruent with research showing improvements on tendon compliance after ballistic stretching.
