Monday 3/14

5x 100m (50 stride 50 sprint -70% -team did 100%)
-some pain

massage
-right side: quad, glutes, adductors,TFL; all tight as hell…

will go very light tomorrow -recovery.

tues: 3/15

warmups / drills with team.
tempo: 55-60%; 3x100, 2x 200.

sigh it’s great to see that Joe’s recovery is going along as well as it is. He’s runnin’ and everything :smiley: Keep it up!

-games day: played touch football.
some short and long sprints

will get massage in soon to evaluate tone.
-team is off for a week and half;
will give me time to coach him into gradual tempo and sprint shape upcoming 2 weeks. :wink:

yeah Z, 5.5 weeks since inj. grade 2 strain.

We did CF suggested workout today and feel good about it.
No ache or tightness.during or after.

Wasnt sure of the desired intensity but did it at around 75-80% intensity.

It was tiring! - good. :slight_smile:

warm up 800 jog.
10x(10x10m) accel

  • 1 to 1.5 min rest between sets.
    3x pushups to failure -90sec rest btwn sets.

sunday; 3/20
day 2 of 6 day accel (ham rehab runs)

-boogy board surf session +walk down
and back up 1/2 mile grad hill.

warm up 800 jog.
10x(10x10m) accel

  • 1 to 1.5 min rest between sets.

monday:3/21

third day of 6 day accel sched. same as yesterday.

cut it short: 5x10x10 due to tightness and some pain.
will give it a rest til tomorrow.

tuesday:3/22
4th day run rehab

only made 5 sets again today.
Due to some frustration joe went up in intensity; 85% I would guess…
1.57sec per 10m avg. for about 40 reps.

I made him shut it down and ice.
…hard time dealing with obstacles.

How are you guys liking cytofuse? My athletes love that stuff. Make sure you send any positive comments/info to Ryan at xcell. If there’s anything they can do to help they will. I’m just glad I finally have a company I can trust.

cytofuse is great… I just tried to re-order and they are back-ordered.
