Isorobic or sleds before a race

I’ve seen this done before. Sometimes with sleds or just bands. One thing I have noticed is that at practice after I do my isorobic runs I feel very explosive.

What do y’all think about doing them before a race at a meet? I usually like to do a sub max 100 20 mins before I race whenever possible. I feel that it activates the muscles. I’m thinking resistance running would do the same.
