Isometric training

I thought the benefits of isometric training tends to cease after about 6-8 weeks of use (Schroeder / Medvedev)? Or given the varying types of isometric training do members feel that there application period can be extended and shortened?

Christian have you ever tried these.

Drop off high box into half squat, pause 2 seconds explode up as high as you can and land onto another box. Turn around and repeat.

I find those excellent, just wondering what your experience has been with them.

As a matter of fact I did those yesterday

I use a variation in which, upon landing, a partner apply force on your shoulders (pushing you down) for 3-5 seconds, you resist the force then jump up as high as possible.

hehe cool idea. I am also toying with the idea of a weighted vest doing these as well.
