Inserts for track spikes?

I have a low arch and pronated feet, and I heard this places me even greater stress on that long tendon running through the shin to the foot, which can cause shin splints. I do have shin splints, going for phys. ther. for them though

Anyways, will any type arch support insert work, or will I need something else?

I have had good success using a combination of strengthening the muscle on the front of the shin and using EMS on the feet.

Gotcha man, but what about inserts for track spikes to give me arch and foot support? I have a low arch and I pronate…

I’ve used some lightweight inserts that go under the heel and arch. I’ve had them for years and they work well for me. I use them mostly to help alleviate some occasional ball of foot pain as they provide some support right in back of that area. I don’t use the arches all the time, but I probably use them more often than not.

These are the ones I use…

…but there are plenty of options in varying length and rigidity.

Thanks man.

Hmmm, however, I could just purchase a pair of spikes that are made for those who pronate and have low arches, and probably wouldnt need inserts then. Whatcha think?

I’ve never heard of spikes that offer support and/or motion control. Do you know of any?

maybe http://www.brooksrunning.com/ ?

Not sure to be honest
