So pretty much although the principles Simmons uses for powerlifting are good, things such as box squats and the use of bands and chains are garbage when trying to develop speed?
3 weeks during my strength block then i will move to a 3 week power block. also each lifting session 30-45min.
I’m curious as to how 2 or 3 reps at 80% is considered “max strength” training.
They’re not garbage just not necessary. Think what you need to get faster/better athlete. Do you need a whole lot more than traditional squatting, benching (probably don’t need this either) and sprinting?
