Improvements

hey guys, so its come to my understanding that two things essentially make up ones speed: stride rate and stride length; an increase in either one (without a decrease in another) is how one can increase their running speed and therefore decrease their track times

my question is while obviously technical fixes can improve either one or both, how are they improved simply by training (from super compensation and unloading and yadda yadda)? i assume improvements in both should be seen but which aspects of training improve which part and where are improvements at sprinters of different levels ususally seen in?
