Identify this injury for me please

I have this pain, located next to my knee, its not on my knee but like to the side of it. i dont relaly know what this is but its hurting like crazy, it even hurts when im stting down. its like near the top of my calf.

Be more specific. You’re all over the place.

Sorry im really bad at describing stuff. But its some sort of muscular pain located next to ur knee. Somewhere between the calf and the hamstring. But on the side instead.

I had a IT band problem that sounds remotely like your’s. It was too tight and it rubbed against the joint capsule of both knees, pushing it outward. The actual band hurt as well. Try to find out exactly where the pain is and look it up on webmd or google search it.

I also had an IT band problem. The pain was on the side of the knee and generally the pain increased the longer I would run. I ended up seeing a myotherapist who worked on my IT band and it was rather painful. After a few weeks of that and stretching, the problem was pretty much gone.

Tough to do through cyberspace. Could be your ITB. Try a one-leg squat. Does that hurt?

Please can you attach a picture or drawing so that we can help better?

how do u attach a picture in this forum?

Does sound like IT band. Which would be good news as all that’s required is good stretching.

it seems that all other guys are right! it sounds like ITB stress
if it hurts even while sitting, see a physio for some treatment and i’m pretty sure he/she’ll suggest you any side stretching available!
it might sound an easy-to-treat injury, but if it’s at a late stage and it hurts as you extend distance run, or on hills, it might take longer to treat; also, be very progressive and keep doing these simple stretching exes for “the rest of your life” and you’ll be fine!
from personal exprerience…

ok, i stopped squating/running and the pain is kinna subsiding, i only feel it sometimes when i put stress on it. phewwww iwas getting worried cuz the season hasnt even started yet and imalready injured!

rest is not always the cure; immediate assesment and effective treatment, if necessary, is the answer; be sure there is no problem there; there is still time for indoors; if you leave it, there might be no time for outdoors either!
just a suggestion…
