hey now… we are not all fickle- it is you boys who go by looks alone!
if we’re still talking about sleep, is there any truth to the sleeping cycles theory that says it’s better to sleep in one or three hour (i forget) increments instead of sleeping through for fewer hours than you need? don’t see where this makes sense, but my sister swears by it…
It’s all about priorities. Get your sleep…at least 8 hours, perhaps more if you are training hard. There are few recovery methods that are cheaper or easier.
Think about it this way…if you are going to put in the time to do the workouts, don’t waste that time by not properly recovering from it. It is at best a waste of time and at worst you will get injured.
Take the Bus. You can fight traffic and loose sleep, or read your texts for school on a free trip…I don’t know if you live near school…so walking would be a bad solution. Sure it isn’t cool to take the yellow submarine (submarine is the hopes of getting girls AKA the drop in chances sinks to the bottom of the ocean)
Beauty is the most important quality with honesty. Who cares if she is smart…interesting, or even speaks english…so long as she looks good and doesn’t cheat. I like volume and quality.
So you would hook up with a complete bitch if she looked good and somehow (with her attitude) didn’t cheat on you?
Whoa!!!
I say honesty is important, but there is so much more to a person than looks and honesty that make the whole person. I don’t want a perfect girl, and I don’t have a dream girl, but I do want certain things from them…intelligence is one. If she is a ditz I won’t even get past hi before I bounce to her friend who hopefully isn’t as dumb as her.
I find all kinds of ways to do homework and studying so I don’t have to at home and so it doesn’t cut into training time/sleep time, but I also have the “perfect” schedule right now.
X - I understand, but again, life plays a part in what you do, so everything can’t always go as you wish. But, I know what you are saying.
Good post Clemson. Check out Jesse Owens life story. Man had to work, study (academically he was way behind), and still became the best in the world. We all face challenges. Champions excel in spite of…that’s the difference.
actually Clem, the bus costs $180, and I would have to leave at the same time anyway. either way i guess i will manage… not too many options- i guess i could drop a class (gasp) if i had to.
for some reason i suspect that your honesty requirements only work one way… let me guess- a girl can’t cheat on you even if she’s gorgeous, but you can play around with whoever you like? don’t tell me i’m wrong
You need to think like a Yale women…I give some good options not knowing your exact situation. Winners in life win in spite of bad situations. Some town a girl is in a worse situation, getting better grades, better times, better spirits.
Carpool.
why no sleep? What keeps you up so late? Your problems. You don’t think my athletes have the same stuggles? Parking at the DEN is not a problem…it’s execuse. I will not hear excuses. Most of your team is rotting because they live in fear and are lazy. That’s why we didn’t win the big one. Will I be back.?..only when I hear tales of how people slayed their problems.
Dragonfly…you need to be the story I tell to motivate my next star…a school record? Fuck that. League tittle? Fuck that! That’s old news. Let’s win it all. Kill those loosers.
400stud,
That is me…and the photo will be up full size…Tom Cruise? only with shades…Kranayfleurya knows I am no pretty boy.
i don’t hesitate to say that i’m sure i’ve had worse struggles than a lot of your athletes, and very few people ever hear me complain about what happened to me and the fear it instills every single minute of every day. my problems are not just boyfriend bullshit- i don’t know where i’m going to be living in 2 months, and who do you think was paying electricity bills out of their college savings account this summer?
but i still don’t give excuses. i could use any number of them to explain why i didn’t jump 5’4" or break 15, but i DON’T. i wasn’t fast enough and no one is responsible for it but me. and whether or not i get into yale, i’m going to get through the year and go to a good college and no one is going to stop me from it.
if i have to undertake the problems of my team on top of my own to win the state championship i’ll do it, and you won’t hear any complaints- ive been strong enough to get this far. i hope you do come back- frankly you’re the only hurdle coach who will take me to the next level, and im not the only one who is ready- as much as kids resented being told they wern’t perfect, when it comes down to it they want to go forward and not back.
Seriously,Is this conversation between Krasnayafleur and Clemson out of some movie script you guys are writing? This shit is way to dramatic for highschool, college track.
I plan to work out 4 hours tommorow… It’s important to keep things in perpesctive, your not preparing for war your going out to run and have fun. If it’s not fun then what’s the point? Sports are supposed to be fun and develop you physically and mentally not turn you into some kind of Nazi.
