How good are GNC Brand name products?

I’m in a bit of a bind when it comes to protein powder and ZMA. My parents won’t order me any ZMA or protein powder online becuase they don’t think it’s safe. So I have to be buy protein powder and zma at gnc. GNC doesn’t seem to have a great selection and doesn’t have snac or biotest products. I am considering buying the GNC Brandname protein powder and ZMA. How good is this stuff? Is it tested?

GNC is expensive. Go to the vitamin shoppe.

See if they will let you use paypal or just send a money order. I assume they think credit card transactions online are not safe?

If you need the stuff that badly I will buy it for you and drive it to your house free of charge.

What about Western Union? Or sending a mail in money order. The us postal services are very cheap.

They don’t think that the supplements are safe, so they refuse to buy it for me. A money order, I don’t know how that works, I’ll find out. Mabye I can do a money order.

Yes, That’s a good idea, give me free stuff. Please Timmy, can you do that for me. I would like it very much!

Why dont you just tell your parents to do some research instead of talking about something they obviously have no clue about.

Well you would probably get a better response if you did the research for them. With ZMA this might be a good place to start:

Also you might want to point out that the doses are not larger than in many mineral supplements. If they need further convincing I imagine your family doctor would OK ZMA.

do u mean parents dont trust supplements and what they do to ur body, or they dont trust them being bought off the internet, cuz there might be anything in them?

They don’t trust them being bought of the net becuase they don’t know what’s put in them. My parents arn’t going to listen to reason here. When I wanted to get ZMA once, My Dad responded that Zinc causes deteriation in the Brains of Alzheimers patients and that you don’t know if this stuff is safe.

Go to vitaminshoppe.com. And click on their store locator. Then find the nearest vitaminshoppe and have them order it for you. Or use the EAS brand. Goodluck.

What ever you think on this subject, and while I am inclined to agree with you… If T2 is under 18, advising him and or aiding him to bypass his parents is clearly not advisable conduct. Certainly not for something like this.

Im glad you agree. I see your point. Ok I see T2’s second post, where his parents dont think supplements are safe. T2 do not take ZMA. Simple. His first post stated it somewhat differently. I misunderstood. So I take back my post about driving to house and delivering them to him which was a joke. Do we really think we can stop him from getting ZMA though. Should we always listen to parents. My parents thought I should give up track for good. Not have any participation in it at all. Should I become a police officer then. Maybe I should become a ZMA dealer. (timothy opens his trench coat) hey kid I have every brand of ZMA available right here. How much you need kid. With all do respect though coachmd your post is correct. Sorry about that T2.

Timothy Lane ?

Timothy?

:stuck_out_tongue:

CoachMdd I’m not under 18, I’m 19. My parents don’t care that much if I buy the stuff, they arn’t going to order it for me though and spend their money on it. My Dad is more suspicious of supplements sold online for some reason and doesn’t like to give out his credit card number online. My parents might buy supplements for me if it’s in a store or let me use their money to buy it. GNC doesn’t sell any of the good brands. Timmy has a good idea.I’m going to try that.

There is no vitamin shop in my area and there is no vitamin shop near where I go to college. :frowning: Can GNC order supplements for you?

I think we should just keep in mind …

ZMA is part of the range of supplements that are like a ‘Roof-Garden’ on a house with a ‘Strong Foundation’.

If the basics - balanced diet, protein supplement and maybe mulit-vit are not in place - forget about ZMA and every other ‘nice-to-have’ supplement.

I’m not knocking ZMA - it’s benefits are obvious or anyother supplement, but unless everything else is right it’s … as logical as going to McDonalds and ordering a BigMac, Fries, Sundae with a Diet Coke - like why bother ?!!?

Call the nearest store and ask. I specially ordered inosine from them before. Not sure what the status of this company is now. Im confused on why their website has gnc products now?

I don’t have a protein powder or a multi-vitamin. GNC doesn’t sell any of the brands people here recommend. I can’t order supplements online. Is twin-lab tested, is it any good? I see that in the supermarket.
