sometimes when i’m laying in bed at night,
if i think about something and suddenly get a bout of anxiety, I notice a sudden flush (only word c’n think off), through my body. This might be a sudden blood rush, or a sudden hormone release? I’m thinking that, becuase i’ve sensed it when anxious, it’s probably a negative hormonal response(like cortisol or something?). i’m certainly thinking more now about the idea of mental relaxation etc. (Don’t want to start wearing cloth though.) Of course, athletes (amongst some other types), tend to be more in tune with their bodies and may notice or be aware of these things a bit more. Does
anybody else relate in anyway to this stuff about “flushes”, (actually feeling it), at “particular times”, e.g: at night, after training, after certain foods, when thinking about certain things etc.(apart from the obvious one).
On top of all that, I just got a dose of De ja vue!

You should be sleeping, not thinking about things. Get a day planner, write down unfinished tasks in it, and then forget about it until morning. There is NOTHING that you can do about things while you are in your bed. If you have to, get up and watch TV, or posts some stuff on the forum here, but do not lie in bed if you are in a state of anxiety. Go back to bed only when you are ready to sleep. One other thing…ZMA!!!
I know exactly what you are talking about. It used to happen to me all the time, especially when I was extra tired and absolutely NEEDED my sleep. I put stress on myself to get to sleep. I am fine now as I just get up out of bed and say some more prayers, or I lay in bed and pretend I am flying around in an indestructable spaceship thingy, that is controled by my thoughts, that can go at any speed and through mountains and to the botom of the oceans. That usually calms my mind and allows me to forget that I have to go to work in 6 hours, or that I forgot to trasfer money from one account to another and that I am now overdrawn etc. Once you hit the sheets, there is nothing that can be done. So just sleep.
