HI INTENS session volume

Charlie didn’t you ever use the inner 200m track for longer work?

Also how is Ben at massaging? Saw him working on some people today.

We did these runs into the wind, for the reasons you describes. This was done in the German camp base, and we don’t train in Paris. I don’t know which track you are talking about, maybe it no longer exists, the indoor track at the sport center is 166m and very dangerous (there is a depth just next to the outside lane, i remember someone fell during a competition).

That’s actually the plan, in the will to respect the nature of this sprinter. In spite of his great courage, the usual lactic workouts done so far have led him nowhere. The problem is to make him integrate that it’s possible to work his finish via alactic training, since to me the trust in what we do is as important as what we do.

Fully understand your point, but the conditions during the finish of the race for an athlete of his level are such that mirror much-much closer a- rather than lactic conditions; apparently he struggles to realise this, I suppose…
These are more personal issues, of course…
Charlie, any… tips?

…bump

The 200m oval was ok for 300 and up for women and 500 up for men but tough below that at the best of times- which were seldom as people kept stepping in front on the oval to run their 40 sec 200s. Very dangerous!. We eventually claimed the straight and gave up on the oval.

do running a’s at the end of the session count for total volume for the session???

Thx for the reply, I’ve been finding running 200s i have to hit the brakes coming into the turns. I guess I’ll drop those.
