What are some of the better exercises to use for training acceleration? I lift heavy, and use a Westside variation. So not so much exercises in the weight room, but on the track, or football field. Thanks.
Did you try the search engine? Type in acceleration and you get about 500 threads full of info. Anyways, for acceleration do:
-weights (heavy, < 6 reps)
-explosive med.ball throws
-box jumps (up) or bounding
-hill sprints (10-30m)
-accelerations on a track (10-30m)
