- What is your educational background in the sports sciences, if any?
No real education in Sports science apart from my A* in Physical Education for GCSE :P.
- Are you an athlete, coach, or other?
Athlete but I give coaching tips to the other OL at the club.
- What sports do you compete/coach?
I played 6yrs of Rugby and got scouted for London Broncos Rugby League team even though I’m more of a Rugby Union player.
5yrs of Football.
Track and field for school teams.
Olympic Lifting for 2 and a half years in competition.
- How long have you been training?
16months in a Gym doing some very basic and just ‘anything’ stuff for Rugby. Really didn’t know much about training then. Then I met my coach Brian H and I’ve been OL for 2.5yrs now.
- If you had to describe your personal approach to strength training, what would it be?
Main sport is OL so I do what is needed of that. Mike the Gymnastic coach knows a lot and will whoop your with his exercises…
