Getting faster at 25??

Yes- to get in to the meet

which brings us back to my original question. Anyone know what ended up happening to Dallas?

I believe the next great white hope is cripple.

yep…lack of guidance (or lack of him taking the correct guidance…he had alot) and lack of necessary therapy failed him. he ran GA Tech 100m reversed for the wind conditions and a giant flagpole was in his lane about 25m past the finish line. he finished, stopped very abruptly and the game over.

saw that http://track.flocasts.org/videos/coverage/view_video/274/15043 so it appears he hasn’t raced since and is stuffed.

i just read this whole thread from page 1-30 and i am thoroughly depressed…

peace

why???

because drob was doing so good and then it all just turned bad (in weird ways)… can’t wait to see him healthy again.

THATS WHY TAMFB.

MAYBE ANOTHER GREAT WHITE HOPE WILL COME ALONG AND WONT FALL FOR ALL THE GIMMICKS.

SO DONT FEEL SOO BAD ADARQUI.

i just thought about this, maybe cf should make this thread a “sticky” - what not to do if you want to run in the OL.

He had ample opportunity through very good talent and very good coaching. He screwed the pooch on the coaching. Wish my white ass had his talent. Such is the way it goes.

Many have talent and no brains or at least no personal decision making ability. Just ask some of the college ballers that went out for the draft early, listening to their bros back home and mom and dad pumping their ass up instead of their coaches, scouts, etc. Now they are out of college, didn’t bother to go to class so they can’t go back anyway, and sitting on their ass hoping for a free agent call otherwise they are headed to Europe.

AGREED!

Has anyone on this board had that guy’s talent? I’ve never heard of one.

Gerald Phiri for 1

that said it certainly would be a useful sticky of what not to do. :frowning:

Did he continue working with the Inno guys after the fall out or did they just cut and run?

Umm, I think maybe Charlie did.

maybe many people have that talent on here…just hasnt been fullfilled yet…who knows…

That’s true.

I heard somewhere drob9 is playing semi-pro football somewhere…

Hello-

Long time no talk eh?

I am healthy now and training well. About 8 weeks after my injury I played 3 games of semi pro football (just for fun) and it was that… a blast. I actually got to play wide out/ tail back/ TE and DE. They weren’t sure what do do with me honestly. I ran the ball only about 5 times a game… and they would throw to me another 5 or so. Other than that I was on defense playing Rush end… First play of teh first game I sacked teh QB the ball squirted out and I picked it up and scored… it was no doubt a blast. I averaged about 8 yards a carry and had 9 receptions for just under 200 yards.

Ok to the important stuff… I received a call from the USA head Rugby coach asking me if I would tryout for the National team… Of course I was honored and the 8 weeks of rehab only caused me to get back up to about 225-228 in weight so I was perfect for their mold.

I went to California and worked out with another 45 guys from througout the World and made the final 22 man roster. So I my friends am officially a US Rugby player. Being that I cannot truelly crosstrain the two sports/ track and Rugby I have to choose one or the other and my heart is leaning towards rugby… I wil continue to speed train but realistically at 225-230 I will never run 6.10’s or 10.1’s again. At camp After just rehabbing for two months I recorded a laser timed 4.55 40m sprint… at 6:30 in the morning. The next fastest time was in the high 4.7’s I believe.

Ok I am ready for the onslaught of negativity now. lol

Dallas

Oh and the reason I haven’t been on here for so long was because I was told I don’t need to visit or post on this site any longer. That being said all the information that I gathered and all of the coaching I put myself through… AKA my indoor times and results came from Charlie’s training guides/ or this site… basically that is a thank you for having this site as a resource.
