They are very stimulatory. Perhaps that reason beyond any other.
For beginners to intermediate, I’d put at least some of them late in the WU before the sprints (perhaps a set of 6 to 8 of each) and the rest after.
For higher level, the stimulation remains from the end of the session before.
At the highest levels, of course, it will be completely individual and you may or may not decide to use them anymore.
Interesting stuff. I wonder how much load comes into consideration though. If the % recruited increases say 5% in a given muscle group, but the load used is 10-15% less, what differences are noted?
I’d think more the concept of the feeling of the sprint position and the muscles involved. They are not a replacement for the lifts.
