Flying 30 test

Does anyone know of a website or a caculation that can predict someone’e 100 meter potential with thier flying 30 meter time?

Thanks

Hey Mc

to many variables in predicting your 100m time from a fly in 30m but for a comparision search for a thread titled womens split data is has some great times, splits for both male and female to have a look at.

I just googled it.

I found that myself, but I only tested the flying 30 therefore I do not have the first 30 meters.

Thanks.

PM me later. I can help you out. I had something on my website but looking at it again I think there are some typos in the info. The USATF Level 2 sprints manual also has exactly what you are looking for.

The Frank Dick paper (“Development of Maximum Sprinting Speed”), which can be downloaded from Track and Field News (look under Technique) has a list that includes flying 30 time and FAT race performance.

There was also some excellent work in the old Forum, which put the ratio between flying 30 time and potential FAT 100 time (excellent fits for people like Ben and Mo) at roughly 2.80 (actually 2.78).

That doesn’t matter. Just put the first 30 as 0 and the 60 as whatever your time was. That’s just their incase you did splits or w/e.
