“is she smiling there … I do believe she is …”
Unreal …
Unfortunately I cant download the clip. On attempting to do so I am faced with:

The commentary will just have to do…!
Has anyone ever seen a more relaxed run? She begins smiling at 60 meters.
Yeah she was very relaxed also how come no other women have come close to her record and why did she quit so soon does anybody know why ?

Unreal … each and every time I watch it I get a feeling of watching something not of this world …
you stated an answer…with all of the gold and records that are so nasty…what else is their left besides raising a family?
I heard on a biography of her on sportsccentury or something that when she was on the Arsenial Hall show a guy said that she asked him about growth horomones or something like that. I don’t neccesarily believe that but what do you guys think.
I saw an american sprint presentation and it stated that she did lunges with 150kg (330lb).
That can’t possibly be correct. Or can it? I mean 21.3 and 10.49 are so otherworldly that anything may be possible from her. I honestly have no clue what top female sprinters are doing in the weightroom but 330 for a lunge just seems staggering. It’s hard to imagine this from a woman who weighs less than 140. Thoughts?
I’ve never heard any such story from what I’d call a reliable source.

Lunges, squats, leg press, they’re all the same aren’t they?
They all work the quads but they’re not the same. Squats are much more explosive than the other 2.

Really!!! Are you sure?
Well, I should’ve said much more intense, but I’m probably the least qualified person on this board to answer your question so I’m sure somebody else will tell you.
Lunges and squats are not the same. In a lunge the weight is transferred directly over one leg as you step forward (or backward) which is why you will see trainees using far less weight when lunging than with conventional squats. I estimate that someone who can lunge with 330 pounds could squat with no less than 550. I have never witnessed anyone under 150 pounds doing lunges with 330 for reps although this may be true among elite powerlifters or weightlifters.
When he said they are all the same, I’m pretty sure he was being sarcastic.
I think sarcasm only remains in Commonwealth countries. Frightening isn’t it.
Guess i’ll be jumping off that bridge now DCW.
Florence Griffith Joyner is beyond the fastest human in the history of the world. I’m not able to see the race, but a 10.49 woman’s race by calculations I think is equal to a man’s 9.3/9.5
