Unless the wind is over 30mph, it isn’t pushing you, it’s reducing the effort required to move air out of your way. Often athletes are able to duplicate their windy times later under legal circumstances if they become strong enough. (example Mo ran 9.79 windy and later ran 9.79 legal) To put it in perspective Tim Montgomery has run 5 different windy 9.70s including a 9.70several years ago, and has now run a 9.78 legal … so far.
hey charlie when/where did tim do a 9.70? was this a training time?
