is a good thing to use EMS in GPP?
i have compex MI 500, i’m in the 4 week of GPP and i think to use EMS in the “hill day” in the night, on harmstring and gluteus (or calves that are very poor). and in the tempo day or on adomen, back and pectoral, or in the leg for “relax” (but i think it can switch fast muscle to slow)
Not if you use it in an easy pulsing mode on the muscles for a short time- 10min or so. Is this what you had in mind?
sorry, i speak very bad!
i used EMS in the past.
now i want to use it in GPP phase.
i want to use it in explosive Strenght on hamstring, gluteus and Quad (hill day) and back, addomen (strenght endurance) in the tempo day.
you think is good to start it in GPP or you think is better to start it only in SPP?
If it’s for expl power, use it like the graph in CFTS for the SPP but you can do a three week block late in the GPP as well if needed. Move the back to the hill day and just do the abs on the Strength End day.
now i haven’t the video of SPP (i buy it when i finished the GPP). you can send me a message and explain how to use it on GPP (last 3 week)
The EMS description is in the CFTS book download where you can see the annual plan with the EMS and how it relates to the weights.
For a description of an individual session, you can find it in the first Forum Review
so i must buy one of this to have an idea of how to use EMS? even in GPP phase?
You can check the archives for previous threads about the use of it.
i read that it must be used for the last 3 week of GPP on quad, ham gluteus, the high intensity day.
i don’t understand why strenght, it must be Explosive strenght,no?
3 week on-10 day to have the gain on track.
so i do:
hill wo - weight and this night ems
tempo run - abs ems
for 3 week
10 day no
it is correcT?
week 4:
hill - weight - ems (strenght ham/qua/glut)
tempo: abs back.
week 5
hill - weight - ems (strenght ham/qua/glut)
tempo: abs back.
week 6
hill - weight - ems (expl strenght ham/qua/glut)
tempo: abs back.
hill - weight - ems (expl strenght ham/qua/glut)
tempo: abs back.
