in the early season (week 2-4) of a 12 week outdoor hs season is it ok to lift legs MWF and upper body (bench and row) TR? or is that too much of a cns drain? the T and R days are LO intensity except for the bench press. thanks.
You can split them for a while. In fact, I lay all this out in complete detail on the GPP download if you have it, dividing lifts into both upper and lower and into the catagories of primary and secondary; how they can be split and for how long, based on speed demands, and when to combine them to maximise CNS
effectiveness.
