Do 400m sprinters ever do daily doubles? If so, how many of the days pick week are doubles? Is a light/med tempo and striding session in the morning worthwhile or detrimental. So far I have found it drains my energy for the day – I end up doing one easy and one medium intensity workout. Of course I would rather do one high intensity workout on my hard days then two so-so workouts.
If the morning session is easy like walkovers, regeneration, jogging etc you should be fine from my experience - at least once you are used to it.
