Awesome!!! Great job!!
all i can say is damn, now i know why what you had said to me before is taking prevelence in training…outstanding
great job, very intense and inspirational
Congratulations!
Out of interest, have you lifted that or more in training before, or do you normally lift bigger weights in competitions?
I’ve never lifted more at U85! I came down from 88.5.
You look a lot slimmer david
Great job! Very cool vid!!! Whew!
David whats your best clean, f.squat, snatch balance?
What are future plans with regard to OL?
thanks that got me pumped up…i gotta go work out now…haha
I was thinking that too - at first I didn’t think it was David at all or maybe it was just the proportions of the screen.
Hey when you guys mean David is ‘slimmer’ when was he anything else?
He lost about 4 or 3kg’s or so that is probably it. David is about 6’1 or so.
Koing
Yeah he only lost 3 or 4 kg’s. It’s not like the guy was a fatty before. In fact, he used to be a competitive 400m runner. He’s not 6’1" though, more like 5’10" or 5’11" I think (Dave, correct me if I’m wrong). Most of the guys he competes against are significantly shorter than him, though, and at the elite level I don’t think you’d find an 85kg lifter over 5’8". David has managed to improve his lifts significantly while losing weight by improving his CNS. His training is designed to do just that.
What changes have you made/has he made to your program out of interest?
Increased frequency, decreased volume, ‘cluster’ method on squats…
Would you mind giving us a sample week of your training, and then outlining how it progresses over a longer period, or is this a very recent change?
ahhh so less more often turns out to be more? What do you mean by cluster squatting? Are you talking about heavy weights, rest pause sets?
6 - 10 singles at ~90% with 30 - 60s recovery
My new philosophy - ‘never leave the gym fatigued…’ (you can’t afford to when training three days in succession)
I love that policy David, its made my numbers shoot up as well…and also lowered total time in the gym as I feel that is a factor, I start to feel like i need to get out after 45min…
I’ve had a look through your other posts to get an idea of your program, so you do classic lifts, something like 4x2r, then pulls, then squat clusters, and maybe some auxilliary exercises, is that about right? 3 days in a row then one day off?
