thanks that was an interesting read… does he use the short to long program or another one??

I think that it’s pretty clear from this interview and some others that he uses a S-to-L program that is very heavily influenced by CF.

He uses both depending on the athlete but S to L on Tyler

Sounds like you!

when you say it depends on the athlete… what would S to L be better for someone who needs to work on his speed…?

the program says that i have to do 7- 300ms tomorrow… but i dont know how much recovery between can someone help.

Before you get too far into it as is what level are you at?

7 x 300 is a tempo session so do <= 75% of your best for 300m on that surface (which should be grass). For recovery probably 100m walk but adapt to suit.

well my PB for 400 is 51.9… i started training in august last year. i was previously on a program similar to michael johnsons… usually when i do tempo i do a jog between will this still have the same effect… thanks

Where did you get “this program”? Also if it is what I think it is then that is for an elite level sprinter and is only and example of what could be done not what needs to be done for you. You can’t just follow something someone wrote down on a piece of paper and expect it to work the whole process is far more complicated that that. 7x300m even at 75% is real hard.

yes ok… so what do u think would be better for me then… and when would u consider someone to be elite… nd my coach showed me the program he brought it at one of charlies seminars i belive

7-10 mins rest

as tempo breqak it down 3x300-2x300-2x300
100m walk between runs, 7-10 between sets.
Its for recovery
