wont calf flexibility affect your first 30 meters or so…??
This is kind of related,… does a flater foot contact hurt early acceleration.
My calf and ankle flexibility is very poor - I cannot squat without a board.
It is chronic
Anyone (Charlie?) have experience with such poor ankle flexibility?
no23, I have found that the calves lengthen quite well when stretching before squating which helps. However, I was also wondering if stretching them on a daily basis to lengthen them greatly would have implications for the first 10-20m ie. is less power lost when ankles are nearer the end of ROM in plantar flexion for the first 10-20m.
