interestingly (or not :stuck_out_tongue: ) my wife of 20+ years is the same.

So, you both wear the pants in the family?
haha, it would be a good sitcom if the kids were both the same as well.

FEAL / ESFJ “Facilitator”
hospitable, focuses on usefulness; energetic, realistic; develops and nurtures relationships; sensitive to praise and criticism; expresses feelings; conscientious; orderly; friendly promoter, commerce- oriented, gross motor skilled

which is interesting considering her job is as a Facilitator and mine is a CEO

INFP. Same as when I took it at vcu. Only less than 1% of the worlds population have this type of personality. Mother Teresa, people like that. HAHA. I still say I am extroverted.

Edit: I read the summary. Basically sums me up well (probably 70% is right). Except for doesn’t like conflict, the whole paragraph is garbage. And not analytical. I scored an almost perfect score on analyzation on an iq test when I was tested for add. This whole thing kind of reminds me of a horoscope reading. They give you general info that could fit any personality type. What if I am more than these four things. Limit the guy to four categories. I dont THINK so!

J.M.Curley (a man of the people) aka The Guy

Cognitive science is clear on this issue. Brain or personality profiling is not even remotely accurate. One question these tests can never answer is “What are the enduring qualities of self-identity?.” You may be introverted, extroverted, conscientiousness, neurotic all in the one day.

I took a personality class (part of my psych major stuff) before that Guy was a computer major, before that guy was undecided.

Anways. This one is funny because it lists some of my weaknesses. Some of the strengths are right, I guess. Guy isn’t even sure. Guy might be more than one type.

-The Guy

“outstanding counselors, and good friends” INFPs have the ability to see good in almost anyone or anything. Even for the most unlovable.

Famous INFP’s

The Guy
Homer
Virgil
Mary, mother of Jesus
St. John, the beloved disciple
St. Luke; physician, disciple, author
William Shakespeare, bard of Avon
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (Evangeline)
A. A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh)
Laura Ingalls Wilder (Little House on the Prairie)
Helen Keller, deaf and blind author

Fictional INFP’s (no joke)

E.T.: the ExtraTerrestrial
Deanna Troi (star trek)
Bastian (the neverending story)
Calvin (Calvin and Hobbs

Hear that kids, now give a guy a break will ya. HAHA.

I’ll show you whats wrong with this test. Look at the options here. Here is one of the choices for instance,

candid, straight forward, frank
tactful, kind, encouraging

I am both. Which one am I more than the other. I dont know. I put tactful, kind encouraging, but I am probably more candid, straight forward, and frank.

What if I am 50/50. They don’t account for that. Just look at the list here and see if you can’t find places where both fit (this is just page 1) but you’ll see what I mean.

Pick one:

higher energy level, sociable
lower energy level, reserved, soft spoken

interpret matters literally, rely on common sense
look for meaning and possibilities, rely on foresight

logical, thinking, questioning
empathetic, feeling, accommodating

organized, orderly
flexible, adaptable

outgoing, make things happen
shy, do fewer things

practical, realistic, experiential
imaginative, innovative, theoretical

candid, straight forward, frank
tactful, kind, encouraging

plan, schedule
unplanned, spontaneous

seek many tasks, public activities, interaction with others
seek more private, solitary activities with quiet to concentrate

standard, usual, conventional
different, novel, unique

Do they have a classification “Knucklehead”? Because there sure are a lot of them.

BCAR / INFP “Idealist”
deep internal values; idealistic, romantic, appears calm; generally reticent; creative, avoids conflict, sensitive, aware of others’ feelings; sacrificial, welcomes new ideas; flexible, interested in learning and writing; composer; language skilled.

 the problem i had was that some of the responses, that might more accurately fit me, just sound bad.

FCIL / ENTJ “Chief Executive Officer”
born “CEO,” driven, takes charge; harnesses people to a distant goal; strategic; expressive; potential good debater and public speaker; seeks vision and purpose; political; self-focused; structured; logical abstraction skilled.

I took 5 minutes break to pass the test.

BCAL / INFJ “Wordsmith”
potential gifted writer; imaginative, conscientious; has concern for the needs and development of others; empathetic; enjoys enriching inner life; methodical; quietly forceful; counselor; language skilled.

Wow, it’s interesting to hear these personality types.

I think comparing The Guy to Mother Teresa might be a bit of a stretch though.

INFB (Yes I Said B)

Guys personality summed up in about one or two sentences. Fiery, passionate, sometimes extremely extroverted, sometimes extremely intraverted, holds honor, respect, and morals high. Loyal. Not afraid to give his opinion, will stand up for whatever he believes in at any cost. Brave and good looking.

-Guy

FCAR / ENFP.

FCAR / ENFP “Motivator”
highly energetic; enthusiastic, charming, imaginative, improvisational; sees possibilities; spontaneous; easily bored with repetition; enjoys solving people’s problems; catalyst, marketer, language skilled.

Quite accurate I guess…

BCIL / INTJ “Inventor”
applicator of ideas; builder of theoretical systems; self-confident; independent, reserved, single-minded, conceptual; seeks knowledge; not impressed with authority; determined, analytic, stubborn, skeptical, scientific; logical abstraction skilled.

Sounds about right for me.
