I take it you’re talking about the black raisers that come with the Nike spikes?
I tend to ask my few training partners who don’t use them for their’s…or in desperate times goto a shop and cheekly ask them for a packet from an old/sale spike box…
What are they for?? I was puzzled when recieving them with my last pair of spikes - are they for running on grass?
No…they’re used to make you more on the balls of your feet.
Yea that is what I am talkin about. Damn I need some, I have the powercats and I have been hitting my heel alot. It destroys my whole race pattern.
Shouldn’t you be trying to fix the underlying problem rather than accoodating it with a “crutch”.
But i guess if you really need to then you could maybe buy some really cheap spikes somewhere? Maybe have a look on dyestat someone might sell you some there.
Not a crutch. I usually run with mizuno’s. The mizunos spike plate is a lot stiffer and aggressive. The powercats are the only shoe I have had this problem with. Oh well my new mizuno Tokyo 4’s came in today.
You cant even compare those Tokyo 4’s to yhe Powercats!! The Powercats are in another league…the only Mizuno that I know come close are the Mizuno Chrono SS’s and I know because I have both spikes…the Chrono TT’s are the equivalent of the Nike G5’s again I know because I’ve got both of those also…hope that helps.
Where Did you get the chrono’s! I have always wanted a pair?
Compare as in what? I know I will run the 200 with the powercats and the mizunos will be my 100 meter shoe. I still like the powercats. I just notice I was having the heel problem that I never had with the mizuno’s. My favorite spike of all time was the marion jone’s. I wish I could find some of those.
