Block settings ?

I’m getting ready to my first meet ever (60m) and i’ve been working with blocks alot lately.

I’m 6’2, and feel OK when i set them like this:
8 hand measurements+2 fingers from the line for the front pad and 5 hand measurements between the front and rear pad.

I see ppl putting their front pad 6 hand measurements from the line… but i guess its all about comfort.

What im asking is for some block setting of 6’2" + athletes like asafa… or some ideas from all you taller sprinters- how do you set em ?

thanks !

You are making it too complicated like all the damn Europeans.

Start off with 2 feet to the front block, 3 feet to the back block and adjust from there. That will get most people in a pretty good position, with minor adjustments for individual tib/femur lengths and strengths. You are not going to have time to mess around with minute differences when you get into a race (and it probably won’t matter anyway).

If you look at pictures of the block settings of pros, there is not much difference between sprinters. A few with will have slightly farther back or closer to the line, but generally, anything very unusual and unnatural will not result in optimal performance.

lol cool man thanks
