Biofeedback

A chiropractor today told me about a biofeedback unit that Dwain Chambers uses that can help control core strength and balance. The chiropractor tried it and it immediately gave him better balance on a gym ball but he didnā€™t know how it wokred. It apparently only costs about $40 or so and you wear it on the wrist.

Anyone heard of this or know what it is?

what would you need better balance on a gym ball for?

Because itā€™s all the rage these days.

Other than for serious re-hab, the only time One needs to be hoping around on Swiss balls, bosu or balance boards is when training for the t.v. show ā€œwipeoutā€

I wonder what else the feedback unit does? or applications are

Ask Mike (dumb@$$) Barwis, Michigans s&c coach. Im sure heā€™ll give you a 45 min lecture like he did some kids on how its important.

Itā€™s not ā€˜biofeedbackā€™ Rich

Google ā€¦

ā€œPower Balanceā€ or 'EFX" or ā€œHologram Bracelet/Bracletā€

Thanks No23.

The gym ball was just as an example really. The point is that the bracelet may promote better core stability whatever you are doing so could therefore help on the gym ball and may also leads to greater spine stiffness when performing balistic activities.

Has a anyone tried one? Sound to good to be true?

Yes,
and Yes

so a gimmick not worth getting?
