Hey guys. I normally don’t post my workouts or track results because frankly, they were never much to talk about.
But yesterday, a magical thing happened. I went sub 11 sec in the 100 for the first time and I am on cloud 9. My training partner clocked me at 10.84 hand, which might not be a big deal to many here, but it is to me.
You see, Ive been training for about 5 years with average improvement and tried a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF DIFFERENT TRAINING MODALITIES. My first ever 100m was 12.54FAT, no joke. So 5 years into my voyage I have finally broke my first milestone.
I still have to go sub 7 FAT in the 60m and sub 10.8FAT for 100m, both of which I predict this year. My question for Charlie (and other feel free to join in) is:
How do I make sure that my PR season keeps coming? I am kind of apprehensive because it was kind of scary running a 10.8 for the first time. I don’t want to vary too much of my program, yet I don’t want to become stale. Charlie, how would you get past an athletes fear when something like this happens?
Bro if you ran that 12.54FAT when you were 18+ I am very impressed. When you pb in a race be careful not to injure yourself next time as you are prone to it.
well i have a somewhat similar story, im doing 11.4 hand timed, with two years of training, starting at 24years old with NO previous training experience at ANYTHING, and im still improving
