Are Abdominals Important When It Comes To Sprinting?

Well, are they? If so, what exercises should be done to give them a good workout?

Thanks

I would say that not only are the abdominal muscles improtant but the back, and hip flexors as well. these are the mid section or the core section of your body. this is the connector between your upper body strength and your lower body strength. in order to maintain a longer and proper drive phase and sprinting angle. in order to maintain your good leg lift. you can do a regular abdominal workout that includes crunches, leg lifts, bicycles, stretching and many other lifts that develop the upper-lower-and obliques (love handles) also do back exercises as well to add proper balance in development.

Abdominal muscles are very important in sprinting.

You want that area very strong because it helps maintaining good posture at Max speed.

Hope this helps
