Workout 10 miles easy
10 miles today, my ankle/arch gave me a few problems. After we stopped & stretched about 5 miles out, my foot got cold and I had to skip back down the hill until it warmed up again, it hurt prett bad.

We did a 20 min tempo. I did a lot of surging in the first mile, and really payed for it in the last half. I had a hard time picking it up the last mile or so and just decided against it. Did a 25 min warmup jog too. I shoulda noted for about the past week I’ve been having a tweek on the outside of my foot.

Anyway, Hotmail is busted, here’s the first part of my Art history Essay, no worries I will edit it out later…
Evolution or Compilation?
The fourteenth and fifteenth centuries were a time of steady but drastic changes in artistic style. Some scholars argue that the Middle Ages had dethroned European artwork Renaissance was a re-evolution of the ramshackle European art society. However, it is clear that the Renaissance was not an evolution but a compilation of old logic and new faith. In the Early Renaissance, Piero Francesca showed the adaptation of Roman naturalist styles into his artwork; in the High Renaissance, Raphael adopted Neo-Platonist Greek philosophies (and philosophe) into his art; and in the Late Renaissance, Titian combined the teachings of Early and High Renaissance to create an original style with its fundamental elements of design based in the Early and High periods.
The works of Piero Francesca were dominated by his fresco work, and though, he painted a number of portraits and other private commissions, his fresco work, specifically the Resurrection, typified the trends of the Early Renaissance. Francesca took an analytical approach to the composition by using a strict triangular symmetry, Francesca
Is this ever the procrastinator’s journal. I didn’t record my entire preseason, simply because I was debating whether or not I should post my XC training on a sprinting website. But I posted my halfmiler journal up here, and quite frankly I need to put this thing somewhere. And plus, I know that no one but myself reads this godanm thing anyway.
(Mild chuckle) Take heart, I read this too. Why? Because the half mile is a brutal race and I admire anyone who endeavors to take it to heart. You have to admit it is a rather sick relationship, but one worth having.
How’s the foot?

Week-13 Saturday Central Coast Section Championships
I was excited to run today. I did everything, well everything that has worked for me in the past. I didn’t eat much within 5 hous of my race, drank plenty, and attempted to clear my sinuses for a good 2 hours straight. IT worked pretty danm well. The first mile felt pretty good. In retrospect I went about 10-13 seconds too slow, but it felt fine. 5:35-38 was my split (stupid people shouting out random numbers as I run by GRRR!!) I didn’t exactly “work” the hills, but I ran pretty well up them. The back downhill wasn’t as fast as I could have hoped, but I didn’t slack that’s for sure. The last 800 followed suite to the rest of my race, I wasn’t slacking, but well… let’s just say that my balls were about as far from all out as they had ever been in 16 3/4 year existance. My finishing kick was fantastic, I put away 5 guys in the last quarter, but that wasn’t a big suprise considering how much I’d left on the course. All in all I performed well enough for the team to do well and that’s what I’m really happy about. We broke the team time record for Toro Park… which was also our own team time record :D.
Next? State… let’s go baby

Workout: 40 minute easy steady state. I liked this workout… we tossed crap on the tracks and watched the train blow it to pieces, but you didn’t read 'bout that. Ironic part? We showed up only 10 minutes late, (A new record, last week we showed up 1:20 minutes late from our workout) and coach had ditched us :(… what a jerk.

With a variation of no more than a second… Go me, it’s my birthday, yeah, baby. 1.5 mile warmup 2 mile cooldown. Oh yeah, and hollister showed up to work out with us again. Oh yah, and my calves didn’t give my any problems. During the 200’s it felt like I had about 4 more gears I could shift into.

We just went to nicene for a 15 minute downhill tempo. It was pretty fun. I didn’t surge this time and so I didn’t die at all. However, my knee is acting up, the big oll fat tendon right below the kneecap feels like it’s bruised right on the bone there. I’m really sore right now, calves, quads, a little hammy, just overall my legs feel beat. I need to rest a lot tommorrow.
