Tony, how do you feel about the specifity v.s. general issue when dealing with weightroom moves, specifically the half squat v.s. full squat?
I will assume that you are talking about things like bench presses and squats when you refer to “weightroom moves.” These types of exercises have a very low level of specificity to most athletic skills. I feel that while these exercises are important, they do not have a strong specific transferance to most sports.
As to your question about the squat, both types are useful, but neither one is very specific to most sports and shouldn’t be used as such.
