Arron’s head above the pack at the 100m start in Monaco

Clement Campbell (left) wins Monaco 100. Joshua Ross (middle) and Nester Carter (right)

The faces in the crowds express the surprise and joy to see Arron coming back. In each of her races this year (11.2-11.3) she showed at different points of the race that she had 11.1 in her. Now with better sleep she will decrease her times and hopefully at least get that gold…

I’ve heard that she never show up at the O’s. DIdn’t she run sub 11sec in 04 then choked in the semis at the Olympics?

Ana Guevara wins the 2007 Pan Am 400

Love this shot, start of the 2007 Pan Am 100 (i think it’s the final). That’s got to be a break?

And will Doc Patton end up as somebody’s avatar? The Doc takes a tumble at the finish of the 2007 Pan Am 200 final. Quite a dip. He got second here and also in the 100 to Charandy Martina

Samuel Francis . . . of Qatar wins the Asian 100 title

Susanthike Jayasinghe is scrutinised by the opposition as the Sri Lankan wins another Asia crown

Jaya relaxes post event

i just seen the above photo 1st, then the one above it 2nd. I was thinking to myself, that guy has girlie eyes, but didnt want to say anything, then, i notice the photo above it, seems he is a girl… What the???

Pickering, ML-F & Devonish in the British 100 Championship for 2007

Antigua’s Brendan Christian win 2007 Pan Am 200 from Jamaica’s Marvin Anderson and USA’s Rubin Williams

Too me, Pickering is trying to hard, MLF looks to be pushing and Devonish looks the most relaxed.

Pickering is fighting himself, MLF is gone in the legs, but Devonish looks superb, a great contrast from a coaching perspective. Devilish is streamlined, nice vertical element to his running action which is probably what you need post acceleration phase and especially this late in the race. He runs his own race, stays focussed and refuses to get locked into a “physical” fight.

Yet it allways seems (to me) that he looks a bit tight in his neck and shoulders.
But i don’t see it that much in this picture…

He’s obviously learnt alot from Obikwelu and his coach, it seems to be working for him

Saudi Arabia’s team (L to R): Mohammed al-Salhi, Younas Howaswi, Mohammed Shawi and Isma’il al-Sabani pose with their gold medals after the men’s final 4x400m relay during the 17th Asian Athletics Championship in Amman July 29, 2007.

Oh well  , at least one of them looks to be an ethnic Saudi (the guy at far right)
