How do you post a video?

Here’s a video of my sprint start, what do you think? Any comments or tips? Thanks in advance.

looks to me like you are “stepping” out rather than exploding.

you should try to start a new thread for this as well, maybe youll get a little more help.

Maybe you just want to get it on film but I’d like to see more precision for you. How many races involve such a short hold or such short time preparing?

HAHA! I would rather have an upper body  I saw this woman with NO achilles. I swear her calf started at her ankle! HAHA!

cankles :stuck_out_tongue: .

ive seen some people where their lower leg is jsut like straight with no change in width at all and im not sure if they have really high calves or really low calves

If they don’t have the muscularity, then it might not make a lot of differance if they have low or high calves in my opinion. Knew a kid from Somalia, no change in width throughout lower leg, and he was very slow at running too, even though he was slim.

 you guys have got me lookin at peoples legs! Kim Gaevert (spellin) has a long calf

I thought this might be a good example.

josh ross 10.08 wins Aussie final, march 2007. interesting arm action, maybe he’s just dropped them as he coasts to the line?

Do you know how it looks at full speed?

I tell you what, those are some big guns he’s got there and his shoulders are down nicely. A little tension around the neck and he seems to be pushing his head forward to the finish line which may have mucked up things slightly. But all in all, he really got the job down. Apparently he lost his rhythm at around 20 metres into the race where he sort of tripped slightly.

and still ran the fastest ever time by an Australian on home soil

Chris Donaldson and James Dolphin on their way to their dead heat 1st place over 100m at the NZ Track & Field Champs.

Chris Donaldson on his way to the medical room (sadly)

how can he sprint in them spikes  how fast did he run?

Unfortunately he knows his way there all too well. :frowning:

G-force, which one? They tied @ 10.56 (w - 2.2)

Montel Douglas wins the British University 60m championship in 7.31s. She made the Euro Indoor Semis with 7.28 a few weeks ago.

She has great lift off of the ground
