Maybe its just me but bodybuilding methods does more damage to my speed workouts then doing 5x3 at 80-85%. I do agree its very diffcult to achieve several tasks at once for example max strength and top speed etc, but think max strength is very important and should be the focus at times unless you 3x your bw.

I dont see where you get cfts and westside from me saying dont lift if you are just changing the rep/weight scheme because it is draining your cns.

Who is attempting to combine the best sprint program with the best strength program? and why?

I dont think CFTS and Westside looks great on paper. Unless its that really nice glossy paper.

Everything must serve as complimentary to speed.

My main question is if you could do max strength work without draining your cns to the point of overkill would you perfer that to the higher rep work and why?

The more I think about it, the more I realize I can’t think of any top sprinter who does a lot of low rep circa-max type stuff in the weight room. We all seem to know all the answers but none of us show up on ESPN.
