Guys,
today i went to see a chiropractor for the first time. He told me he believes my hips are misaligned, probably due to my right leg being about an inch shorter than the other. He then suggested i book sessions every 3 weeks to get my hips realigned. Has anyone here had any experience of this problem?>??
yeah be careful i was told the same thing then i saw a massage therapist and he said i seemed fine if something is that far off get it xrayed or something dont just take his word just my take on it
I was told a similar thing and after one treatment I was a million times better, so it worked for me.
although sometimes I think it’s the hip position that makes one leg seem longer than the other. you might find that the leg length evens out as your treatment corrects the issue. not too sure about that, though…
It depends on what’s causing the leg length difference, if it’s a physical difference you may need to go in just to prevent injury, wheras if the discrepancy is due to the SIJ being out I’d be in there like a shot.
All chiro’s find something wrong with you and almost every athlete i work with comes back and tells me how their hips are off and they have scoliosis. Finding something wrong with you and scaring you is what gets them paid.
That being said, I have a true leg length difference of 1 once (found by x-ray). A chiro can’t fix it, but he can free up the rest of my body because it tends to take up all the slack. That and massage once a week, plus correct work and not doing anything that bothers it seems to be the best medicine.
So it probably really will help you along with what’s listed above, but take everything with a grain of salt and try to do as much for yourself (like stretching and not doing stupid training) as possible.

as i stated earlier get massage and aligned all that before you come to that conclusion. I also had a chiro tell me i had a leg longer. Wore a lift and all, did not know any better, then and my back gave me hell if you really want to know if it is longer xray costs but hey you will know for sure
You can’t use any regular x-ray though. I had chiro’s and PT’s and regular doctors all try and nothing worked. Regular slides usually don’t go above 17 inches and the femor + hips is longer than that.
I finally when to St. Louis and had a Bell Scan-O-Gram done. It covers the entire body from both the side and front. It’s supposed to take out any possible error from rotation, etc.
I guess misery really does love company because it’s making me feel better hearing all of you discuss this.
