5 weeks ago I posted about a HS girl 400 runner. She was running mediocre times (64-65), was not progressing, confidence was plummeting. I got a lot of encouragement and good advice here. I think it was Sonicboom who suggest taking her out of the open 400 and just have her run relays. That is what I did. Since then, in successive weeks she ran 62.7, 61.8, 61.2, then, yesterday 59.2!! She carried her team to our first state berth in 4 X 400 in 9 years. So thanks to all who contributed their ideas and best wishes. I am a happy camper today.
