200meters

What type of workouts can I do to improve my 200meter “maintainance speed”. I first meet is in 2 weeks and I’ve been slacking off in practice because the coaches dont give enough rest time like a 300m run with 200m walk recovery.

It depends how quickly you walk the 200m recovery :wink: in sessions like that i try and take as long as i can before actually walking 200m, usually walk 50m up the straight, have a bit of water, then start walking. I find by the time I get back to the next rep i’m pretty much recovered…
