2-pt vs. 3-pt

Hey guys, I was wondering what you’d think of an athlete who’s 2 point starts are faster than his 3 point starts? About .2 seconds over 50M.

My guess is that the athlete is not strong enough to benefit from the lower acceleration angles found in the three point starts. Am I on the right track?

Thanks.

I’m just an athlete but I found that 3 and 4 point starts are kinda hard motor skills to master… they are easy to learn. but hard to master…

Its not strength… i’m training with 140lb dudes that never touched a weight in their life and they are doing it perfectly and running 10.7, 10.8, its not like they have long tendons or athletic structure either… looking like golf players.

I’m trying to find a coach, what about you ? training while thinking about your technique and your start and the weight numbers etc is crap. i wish i had a coach to tell me to do this and that so i could just focus on 1 task at a time knowing the rest is covered.
