Golden League in Zürich already sold out!

The IAAF Golden League meeting Weltklasse Zürich has confirmed its position as the leading one day sports event in Switzerland. The meeting started its public ticket sales on 10 April at 9 am and within one and a half hours all seating places were sold and within 48 hours all standing places were gone as well.
Patrick K. Magyar, Meeting Director of Weltklasse Zürich, said: “It is excellent news. We hoped that the new stadium would even further increase the popularity of the meeting. But being sold out faster than a pop star concert is a great experience.”
Weltklasse Zürich will take place five days after the IAAF World Championships in Osaka in a brand new Letzigrund stadium that will be inaugurated with the athletics meeting on 7 September. The new stadium has a seating capacity of 21,500 and an additional standing capacity of 5,000. As the fourth meeting in the IAAF Golden League, which opens with the Exxon Mobil Bislett Games in Oslo on 15 June, the Weltklasse will provide a great opportunity for World Championship rematches.
