That’s a very creative workout man.

Thanks man, but I didn’t make it  Bert Sims is the man responsible.

JC: looking at your weights used. am i reading the numbers correctly? you are high pulling from the floor 175x2 and hang cleaning 215x2??

if this is the case it seems odd. i haven’t yet known someone to clean more than they high pull. i would expect if you are cleaning 215x2 then you ought to be able to high pull at least 255-265.

could you explain to me if i am mistaken or on the right track. if I am on the right track and you are high pulling less than your clean fill me on what you are doing with your high pull.

everything else looking good man. how did this week feel?

Hey man, you read right. I don’t know if I’m doing them properly then; I was just trying to keep it at a weight where I can get a real strong high pull. Maybe I need to see a video of one properly performed.

This week felt good, no complaints. Little DOMS here and there but other than that good to go.

John:

check out this link and you’ll see what I am talking about with the high pull. Although the video is taken in the wrong angle (you’ll see when you get there) it gives you the understanding of a high pull.

the weight was 120kg + 20lbs and at that time I was cleaning 105kg i believe.

let me know if you have a better idea. the key is really driving those hips through and pulling hard. you don’t have to worry about dropping under…

Ah ok. I have been doin them like that, but I was way too focused on getting the pull as high as I could. I definitley can increase the weight on these. Good stuff.

Probably could’ve used more weight on the high pulls.
Squat depth was a bit questionable as far as “full” depth on the last 2 sets, but 3 spotters confirmed way below parallel. They kept asking “why are you going do damn low man!?” haha. My erector spinae muscles are still sore from Tuesday too

All done on grass in cleats.

About to go hit the weights now.
