Australia can beat Italy, will they probably not. Italy will have to on its game to win.
Australia and Ghana are the two teams in the 16 who we wouldn’t of expected.

Luck appears to be favouring Australia and England. Of the 4 quarters, Australia are placed in the one where they have the highest probablility of progressing to the semis (opponents - Italy and Switzerland or Ukraine). With the decimation of the Portuguese team due to their own stupidity and help from the referee, England are going to face an understrength team.
It will be sad to see some teams go as with them go the supporters who in many cases are more attractive than the fooltball 
Portugal’s best player is out, a starting defender is out and almost everyone will be playing soft beacause a booking will mean they miss the next one (which they won’t play anyway)
We’re having a stress free trip to the semis

I believe the refereeing has been brilliant! It’s a tough game to handle, but very easy to critique, especially if you have never reffed before. Unless of course if you were inferring that the refereeing is so good that it won’t get any better:D

I thought the reffing had been great too…until the 93rd minute of this game. If that goes to extra time Australia against ten men win it.

I think some of the refing has been poor, the reason why it has been affected is because FIFA has told the refs a week before the game to crack down on a couple of areas.
I don’t have a problem, except for two points in the Italy v Aust game.
THe commentators said the Italian palyer got a straight red, although I sure a a yellow card. Did the ref change his mind or did was that his second yellow?
The penalty that broke the Aussies heart. The Italian fell over the Australian player, he was tripped? Would it of been a penalty in where else on the field.
If that had happened in Field Hockey (which I played and umpired) it would of been play on.
I really felt for the Aussies! They should have won that game, yet at the same time i think it was a fair call.
Even though I want Brazil to win it all, I hope Ghana puts up a good fight, tomorrow.

Yeah, its possible that Germany could beat Argentina, there both spectacular clubs though, so it will prove to be a magic game nonetheless.
I’de actually rather see Argentina go on now, so im ganna change my final match prediction to:

Germany are probably one of the least talented teams left individually IMO - but in terms of a team - they are the best ‘team’.
