first of all he was a C+ in undergrad.
i dont care how you look at it a C+ is not good…
Ok you get into an ivy league school then tell me how easy it is.
lol C+ where? Are you really going to compare an elite university like Yale with the average university? Come on man… A C+ at some shitty branch campus of a state school, maybe. C+ @ one of the best universities in the world…
can you read, im talking about undergrad, he only went to yale law school.
my dad didn’t go to school in the states but he went to a damn good school in London and he has PhD in biochemistry - his grades were better then C+. i think bush did his undergrad at some school in texas - maybe UT.
there are students who had better grades then bush but we all know that an ivy league school are all about alumni etc, and since bush had past family members who attended the door was more open to him vs. students who were more qualified. give me a break- lets use the ole republican answer “anything is possible if you work hard in America”, guess bush didn’t work enough
No, Bush did undergrad at Yale and went to b-school @ Harvard. What school in London? Seriously man, are you really trying to argue that a C+ @ Yale is bad?
It isn’t all about grades. I know people who scored over 1550 (some perfect 1600 on the old sat), never got a B in high school, many clubs, etc. who didn’t get into any ivies. My suitemate is a double legacy at Brown, varsity recruit, and half-black and he didn’t get into Brown, yet he is going to a school ranked top 10 in the country (better than Brown). College admissions don’t make any sense and prob. never will, esp. when there are more qualified applicants than there are spot available.
Yes undergrad in history, no law school degree.
And his grades were almost exact mirrors of the other presidential canidates, him and kerry both went to yale bush’s average ended up being 77 and kerry 76 after 4 years and gore was compareable.
Well if it was from ut you would have known about it.
ur right. im not saying a C+ is bad, im saying that if me or you had a C+ we would not be going to yale law school. my dad went to several schools but he attended univ of oxford and univ college london. my grandfather went to london school of economics.
who said it was about grades thats my point. lol, whats the point of saying hes half black??
this isnt about presidential canidates. and yes ur correct about the undergrad.
Because black people have an advantage in the admissions process.
tamfb–what do you think he would have gotten at an average school? B+, A-? Is that alright for you?
Yes exaclty its about a video clip.
Then its about you saying white people cant jump, but then people showed they could.
Then it was about black people being better athletes, but then people showed whites could be just as athletic.
Then it was about blacks being the majority of athletes in division 1, but they arent.
Then it was about president bush’s ability to go to yale law school, which he didnt even go to.
So what exactly is it about?
dude give me a break blk advantage in the admission process. they try and keep blks from going to school thats why they have all those loop holes to get into college to weave us out.
Not sure–A friend of mine will be making over $100k next year and they have a B- avg. here. No family legacy or other connections–didn’t even do any summer internships.
Getting into b-school is not based solely on grades–a lot is based on experience. He didn’t go straight into b-school.
Getting into HYP or any top 20 school for that matter is justification enough of baseline intelligence. Nothing else to prove.
lol white people can jump who said they couldnt, they have legs just like blks. shit look at kelly b he has hops. once again stop stretching just to make a conclusion.
lol, whats the point of saying hes half black??
Because his parents our from brown, and well then if hes half black hes probably brown, and he cant even get into brown. jk.
Btw is half black the same as blk?
Obviously grades at different schools cant be compared, I know people who didnt get accepted to my undergrad school that have gotten 4.0’s at their undergrad and grad programs, so is that 4.0 the same as a 4.0 at my undergrad school, probably not.
lol really? What loop holes?
Black person w/ the same grades and stats as a white person, black person gets in. White vs asian with same stats, white person will probably get in. This is based on statistics, not opinion.
I hope you aren’t insinuating the sat is racist or any other bs like that.
