Which Creatine???

Am seriously taking creatine for the first time this winter. Could anybody suggest which brand to go with?
On top of that have read that the general consensus is to spoon it into your mouth and wash down with water. Although this method is significantly better than mixing creatine in a glass with water, would some of the creatine not alter into creatinine with this method also?
What about taking it in a food suspension such as yogurt?
And last but not least, does anybody have any experience or opinions of the buffered creatine, “kre-alkalyne”? or is it just annother marketing gimmic?

I’m using Pro-lab -
5g a day 2 weeks on 2 weeks off - spooned directly into the gob & washed down with some carb juice
A brand used by Colin Jackson has been recomended somewhere on a creatine thread , which is probably worth reading … search function

Just got word of the test results with C-10…pure as a babies tear. Mito tested it and found it to be money.

Clemson, you have mentioned C-10 before - I presume a quality supplement?

RK, if you dont have the $$$ for C-10 look at Musashi.Im sure the Aussies here will support this brand.

Regarding C10 -
How many tabs per bottle / what reason that its so good when other tablet forms are said to be wanting ?
Not that I’m doubting - but interested

I take my CoEnz10 sperately with my afternoon Protein shake, peanut butter and fish oils supps. CoEnz10 should be taken with a dietary fat source for best absorbtion.

C-10 is not = CoEnz10

see: http://www.c10world.com/

C10 is well worth the money.

I used c-10 almost 10 years ago. Good stuff. What is the cost nowadays? Is it competatively priced? If it is a few bucks more I would say go for it. I am still a fan of Creapure creatine, although if C-10 has been give the OK, then go for it.

Coenzyme Q-10 is for heart health. It is as similar to creatine as vitamine C is.

i’ve gone with C-10 in the past for exactly that reason.

1 Bottle $52.00 Each Bottle
2-5 Bottles $45.00 Each Bottles
6-14 Bottles $40.00 Each Bottles
15-49 Bottles $35.00 Each Bottles
50 + Bottles $32.00 Each Bottles

mj, what does one bottle constitute? how much creatine?

A few questions to those who have used C10 -

Is it best to stick to the dosage recomendations - or vary them for individuals ?

Is it best to use it constantly or cycle it in any way / Would benefits be lost if it were only used in max strength phase and discontinued afterwards ?

Does it carry the disadvantages inherent in other brands - ie too much / loading etc carries danger of cramps etc ?

I’d appreciate any feedback as ordering this stuff works out expensive in the UK ( despite it being manufactured here - no details available) and any info would aid my decision .

Those prices converted are -

£31.82 for 1
£27.54 2 - 5
£24.48 6 - 14
£21.42 15 or more

3 day shipping is £17.14 - £29.38

I got a prompt response from Charlie Brown  at the suppliers and I’m told there are 130 tablets per bottle ( shame he ain’t selling it for peanuts lol )

one dosage recomendation included -

4 TABLETS A DAY DURING EASY WEEKS &

5 TABLETS A DAY DURING HARD WEEKS,

3 TABLETS ON DAYS OFF

Another -

MOST SPORTS: 3 TABLETS A DAY ON EASY DAYS, 4 PER DAY HARD DAYS, 5 PER ON VERY HARD DAYS

This dosage would make it quite cost effective

8-10 PER DAY 7 Days BEFORE & DURING NATIONAL OR CHAMPIONSHIP MEETS

  • would this cause danger of cramping ?

what was your results with it? have u used regular creatine as well?

I took 4 pills/day, but most of my teammates took only 3 with great results. Loading for a championship meet probably isn’t a good idea. I did retain some water when and felt tight. They are good about team orders, so I would call first to see what kind of price they might quote you. It might be better than they advertise. Other creatines have caused bloating and weight gain, but I had neither with C10.

C-10 seems to be the way to go then. As for “kre-alkalyn”???
Anybody?

The article seems to rubbish pretty much every other type of creatine so it could be just a marketing ploy. A few of the top British athletes are with a company called Starmax (www.starmax.co.uk).

C-10 is no joke…I like it during GPP and SPP and you can take it for long flights …

try the v-12 creatine by san. it is not supposed to cause water retention

You might want WR after a flight…Charlie?
