I want to become a strength and conditioning coach, and I’m having difficulty planning out my route to getting there. My questions are…
-What’s the best university in Canada for undergraduate studies in the field of kinesiology, exercise physiology or physical education?
-What’s the best university to attend for graduate studies?
-What are the best certifications to have?
I want to have a well-rounded base of knowledge so I can work with athletes in all aspects of athletic performance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yo quikz I am not sure which schools are the best but I know that when I played hockey in quebec one of the teams I was on worked in conjunction with Concordia University, they had some students helping out and they all told me that the program for exercise science, athletic training, all that type of stuff was really good. Not sure if they were just bragging cause they went there though??? Here is a link http://artsandscience.concordia.ca/exsci/
Not sure if this is fully true but some wise man who will remain nameless once told me that the path of a good strength coach is really a " major you learn on your own."
